
Hello! I’m Dr. Judy Landess
A passionate and experienced bilingual school psychologist, dedicated to promoting equitable access to education for all learners.
Dr. Landess brings 10 years of experience providing assessment, counseling, and consultation services across school, community, and clinical settings.
As the founder of EduPsych, Dr. Landess has helped families and schools make connections between students’ individual learning needs, and the strategies and supports that help guide them towards a successful future. Her work spans both school and clinical settings, including specialized experience in alternative education, giving her a deep understanding of diverse educational and emotional needs. She is committed to social justice work and is a volunteer with CASA of McHenry County, and an active member of the American Psychological Association, Illinois School Psychologists Association, National Association of School Psychologists, and the American Board of School Neuropsychology.
Dr. Landess regularly serves as a consultant with local school districts providing collaborative and evaluation services to special education teams, and professional development and training; as well as an independent evaluator for families and schools. She takes pride in using her expertise in educational psychology to deliver clear, comprehensive, and well-founded insights that support informed decision-making for families and schools. Dr. Landess is a licensed school psychologist with the Illinois State Board of Education, and a Board Certified Diplomate in School Neuropsychology with the American Board of School Neuropsychology.
Credentials
Dr. Landess earned her Masters and Specialist degrees in Educational Psychology from National Louis University, and her doctoral degree in School Psychology from Loyola University Chicago. She also holds a post-graduate certification in school neuropsychology with the School Neuropsychology Institute. Her training at Loyola included a focused mental health track, allowing Dr. Landess sit for the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Exam, making her an Advanced Practitioner in her field.
